Kuala Lumpur · Since 2017

Every household holds more than it knows it holds.

Almanac Ash works alongside Kuala Lumpur households to build careful written records of their possessions and documents — printed, organized, and kept by the household.

All records stay with your household

What We Offer

Three ways to bring order to your household records

Each session is designed to fit the household's pace. We bring the materials; the records belong to you.

Household inventory session in progress

Household Inventory Session

One in-home session in which our team works with the household to build a basic written inventory of significant objects — furniture, art, jewellery, books, and items the household considers worth recording. Each item receives a short description, a date, and a photograph.

  • Printed inventory booklet
  • Archival labels for each item
  • Follow-up note one month later
RM 580 Enquire
Document folders being organized and cataloged

Document Cataloging Project

A three-session project in which our team works alongside the household to build a clear catalog of documents held — identity papers, employment records, property documents, and household account statements. The catalog is kept in an archival folder. No document is drafted or filed on your behalf.

  • Three in-home sessions
  • Archival folder and materials
  • Printed catalog book
RM 1,360 Enquire
Annual inventory review booklet and household records

Annual Inventory Refresh

A year-long programme combining quarterly visits to update your inventory and catalog, a printed annual booklet of additions, and a written summary of any items distributed during the year. The work is purely organizational — the household's records remain the household's own.

  • Quarterly in-home visits
  • Printed annual booklet
  • Year-end distribution summary
RM 2,540 / year Enquire

Why Almanac Ash

A working method built around the household, not around us

Printed, Physical Records

Every session ends with a booklet or folder the household keeps. Nothing lives only on a server we control.

Work Done In Your Home

We come to you. Sessions are held in the household, at a pace the household sets, without rushing through rooms.

No External Filing

We catalog what you hold. We do not draft, sign, submit, or file any document on the household's behalf with any institution.

Photograph of Every Item

Each inventoried object receives a photograph placed alongside its written entry — a practical visual reference you keep.

Archival-Quality Materials

Labels, folders, and booklets use acid-free archival materials designed to remain legible for decades, not months.

Suitable for All Household Types

Multigenerational households, single occupants, joint owners — our approach adapts to the shape of the household we work with.

Common Questions

Questions households usually ask us first

What exactly happens during a Household Inventory Session?
Our team arrives at your home at an agreed time. We walk through the rooms with you, noting objects you consider significant. For each item we write a short description — what it is, approximate age, condition, and any notes the household wishes to add — and take a photograph. At the end of the session you receive a printed booklet and archival labels. One month later we send a brief follow-up note.
Do you value or appraise the items you catalog?
No. Our work is organizational. We record descriptions, dates, and photographs for the household's own reference. We do not assign monetary values, make appraisals, or file any information with insurers, tax authorities, or other institutions. Any use of the records is entirely the household's decision.
How long does a Document Cataloging Project take?
The project involves three sessions, typically held across four to eight weeks at intervals the household finds comfortable. Each session runs two to three hours. Between sessions we prepare interim notes and the household can add documents to the working list. The final catalog and archival folder are handed over after the third session.
What types of households do you work with?
We work with households of any composition — multigenerational families, couples, single occupants, and joint property holders. The services are designed to be adapted to what the household actually holds and what it wants to record. There is no minimum or maximum for the number of items or documents.
Are the Annual Inventory Refresh visits scheduled in advance?
Yes. At the start of the subscription year we agree on approximate quarterly dates with the household. These can be shifted by two to three weeks if the household's schedule requires it. The printed annual booklet and the year-end summary are delivered in the final quarter of the subscription period.
What do I need to prepare before the team arrives?
Nothing in particular. It is helpful to have a general sense of which rooms or areas you would like us to start with, and for document sessions, to gather any folders or boxes of papers into one area beforehand. We bring all materials — labels, folders, printed forms, and equipment — with us.
How is the work priced and what does the fee cover?
The Household Inventory Session is priced at RM 580 for one in-home session, including all printed and archival materials and the one-month follow-up. The Document Cataloging Project is RM 1,360 for three sessions and all materials. The Annual Inventory Refresh subscription is RM 2,540 for the full year of quarterly visits and printed outputs. Payment is by bank transfer before the first session.
